HEPA Filters- Particle Board vs. Metal Frame
Does it make a difference?
Is one easier to install than the other?
In a flowhood, what is the best way to keep the filter in place?
Thanks, ShroomNoob03

id do plasic......idealy plexi glass.........if it were me anyhow....i never made a flowhood though... i SUPPOSE u could use plywood if it were painted with a good fungicidal paint .meatel would be better than that though
i have a question... or maby an idea............say u got a nice clean plexiglass BOX sealed........then u cut you holues and epoxed ruber gloves in place like a
sandblassting chamber then in the side u cut a nice hole and put a bigger pice of plexiglass over it and used putty when u wanted to seal it.....then u did the same to a food sealer tube running in to it........epoxyed of course.... threw the
oppening u can put a can of clorox in there and all your jars..........spray the lysol all over everything......turn on the vaccume.? is that a flow chamber? ........anyway reading your post gave me a good idea i think doing sterile culture work would be way better in a vaccume im gonna try someday
HA puty is a powerfull tool AM I CRAZY? .

Individual HEPA filters come built in either a particle board frame or a metal one. I just wanted to know if one is supposed to be better than the other. I'm not talking about the frame of a flowhood, just the filter itself.
Thanks, ShroomNoob03
