Pins don't look as they should

Ok...I just finished putting all 5 cakes in a FC. I put 3 on 06-02, 1 on 06-03, and 1 on 06-05 (Yesturday). The 3 from friday don't look as I would imagine they should be looking...Here are some pics.

Substrate: BRF inoculation - 05-05-06 Full Colonization - 3 on 06-01-06 1 on 06-02-06 1 on 06-04-06 All 5 were dunked and cold-shocked in Mineral Water for 12hrs All 5 were rolled in dry vermiculite
Fruiting Chamber - Poor Man's Terrerium 12hrs of Florescent lighting daily Humitidy - Constant 97% with % correction Temperature - Between 75 - 77 Constant air supply, growth on the Hydroton, Wicking moisture through bottom.....Looks like a jungle! (see pics)
So my question is.....Is it suppose to look like this? And if it's not, what can I do to correct the problem? Thanks everyone

looks totally fine. the only thing you need to do is wait a little longer, doing whatever you're doing now, they'll be there soon.

Good....I wasn't able to find any pics of early cake growth, just wanted to make sure that what I was seeing was what I needed to...what do you think of the bluing, there is a small very light sky blue patch on one about the size of a nickel....could that have been caused by the halogen lamp I used before??

O, the Bluing was my mistake...I had a freezer pack on the lid for a minute (I put them under and on top of my air pump for a few mins after I use the halogen lamp if I need extra light) and moisture formed on the inside, even with a vasaline coat on the lid! O well, thanks for everything, I'll post when its done with the finished product!

That looks more like vegatative growth than primodia formation.
Next time don't cold shock, w/ cubes it makes them take longer to pin.
Should be alright in like 2-3 days

Everywhere I look i see people say YES to dunking and cold shocking. Why do you suggest not doing that? It might take longer to pin but so many people swear by it...
Note that Im not saying you are wrong, or dont know what you are talking about or whatever. Im just curious why you suggest not cold shocking. just to speed up pinning? It seems like a personal preference thing to me, but then Im only on my first try ever and I did the dunk/fridge for 24 hours thing and it seems to be working out.

So, can everyone agree that I birthed too early?? The cake is fully colonized, I waited 3 days after the outside was done so the inside could finish...but I didn't wait for pins to form like suggested. Will this make that much of a difference in pin-set? I want to make sure this is correct....Primordia is the white "stems" so to speak that branch out of the cake in the F.C. and Pins are the tanish starts to a mushroom with reddish heads right??? I'm not to worried about how well this first project turns out...I just want a few good fruits to show off (that I've been patiently waiting for). I've already started on some liquid culture through OttO's guide using some mycelium from a very slow growing cake. This strand is Tasmanian....love the way it looks in pics, I hope mine starts to show like what I'm hoping
