reynolds oven bags in pressure cooker?

would reynolds oven bags be fine to sterilize 50/50 casing in a pressure cooker or would the oven bags melt?????please help
they work in the oven fine up to 350 or 400....

Yea, i'd be interested in that too? could i use Ziplock bags? I use ziplocks to cook eggs in boiling water... maybe you could try that?

Yeah, I use ovenbags all the time in the pressure cooker to cook the 50/50.
Just to show you what I mean, heres something off www.mushmush.nl/ :
Recipe and Preparation of the casing soil
We use the following recipe:
10 parts of peat
5 parts of vermiculite
2 parts of limestone (Marl)
The ingredients are mixed in dry form and while stirring water is added. The amount of water of course depends on the moisture content of the peat. The object is to get as much water in the casing soil as possible without turning it into mud. If the casing gets too wet just add a little more dry ingredients. This casing soil is then filled into oven bags (made of nylon), autoclave bags (PP) or jars and these are sterilised for one hour in the pressure cooker. When the soil has cooled down to room temperature it's ready to use.

hey thanks for the info...i know how to make the casing...as a matter of fact its already done....i was just having some problems with pasteurizing it ...for some reason it still contaminated...those oven bags are gonna do me wonders...thanks again
