Well heres what happened I gave my setup a complete run through about 2 weeks ago and everything was good. But i didnt have a light source. So for my light source i used a really strong heat lamp type light and dint think anything of it. Well i birthed the cakes in my setup last night without doing another runthrough and left it be. Well the next day i checked the temp and it read 110 DEGREES F !!!! Did I jus ttotally nuke my 7 cakes of mescilin or will they still be salvagable ???. I put some ice cubes in the setup today to cool it off a lil and allow for maby a cold shock ? Please let me know if you have any expirence in this area and also what Light should i use to heat my setup with ??
Thanks Everyone

Yes death occurs at 106F. However, just keep the humidity up, and temps around 70. DOnt put ice in there, just let them be, see what happends.
Your thermometer could be off, and everything could be fine..dont throw em away yet! Youstill have a chance.

if the light is bright enough where you can see the cakes (even a dim light) it should be enough, the mushroom takes nothing from the light, it's just an indicator for it to start pinning-
