why are we here. i always wondered that. religion explains this in different ways... but im agnostic. i have nothing against religion, i was completely open-minded when i made my decision whether or not god exists. so what do you think...

we are here as containers.
batteries.

by being alive and having conscious thoughts, and discovering ourselves, we are stretching the fabric of time, and upholding creation in the process.

that is why we are here.
we are useful machines wherein the most strange and complex phenomenon are happening, in our bodies and minds.
this action relieves enormous tensions of forces building up in the world, in the universe.

There is no inherent "why".

Why implies purpose and meaning, and purpose and meaning exist only within a conscious mind.

Don't know what to tell you beyond that.

through experimentation, i'm continually astonished by the ability of the mind. as long as i am here, i will continue to experiment with altering my ability to perceive the universe, because through doing so i find a greater appreciation of the Mystery which you have presented here.

tell us more about this completely opened mind of yours.

Everything is better than it was the last time.  I'm good.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.

It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence.

I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too.  If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.

i wish i could... read my other post, it explains the reason to why i cannot tell you more... ill try anyway though

i believe that we cannot find the answer through religion or science. the universe is so vast and time is never ending.. so some things like 'why are we here' cannot be answered by humans... yet somehow, we may be the only beings that can ask the question.

then let's just stop doing...and die earlier than what we would.

or, we could stop doing, and start living.

Well the way I see it is that, if it's possible for life to exist somewhere in the universe or in "a" universe (assuming that somewhere out there in this mathematically derived world chance works out right), then logically we have to exist since it's possible for us to exist.

Anyways, we're here, and if we weren't we wouldn't ask that question anyways so we have to exist to ask the question of whether or not we exist, which means either way the question only really matters if you already exist. So who cares?!

Precisely. Reality exists for its own sake.

Why is God dreaming? Was there ever a period when God was not dreaming? If so what caused him to dream, what will cause him to stop dreaming? Does god have waking and dreaming states like us?

There is a terminology for the unmanifesting Godhead.. the "inner life of the deity". I'm not sure what this entails, but I doubt the dream of this current bubble of existence is the first nor will it be the last. There may even be multiple existence bubbles within God. Perhaps hundreds, thousands of seperate physical realities.
