Summers coming, its getting hot, some inoculating questions…

Greetings everybody,
Well as the title says, Summers coming, its getting hot, some inoculating questions…
Ive had some great success over last winter/early spring with inoculations, been able to have a contamination rate of 7.5% for spawing jars, (which is fantastic for me... I was getting about 10% success rate when I first started!!!) purchasing a FH definitely helped!
Anyhow, while doing some inoculations the other day in my bathroom it got to 85 degrees in the bin where I was placing all the inoculated jars. The reason I picked my bathroom was cause it’s the smallest room and I could easily close it off, of course…. I sprayed it down with oust then left the FH on for 1 hour…. I also wore a face mask and bathing cap…. I am assuming that I eliminated as much bacteria in the bathroom as possible, and I have a pretty tedious routine I use when inoculating, which includes lots of rubbing alcohol!!!
Well my question, even tho it was pretty hot, was I still in a good environment to do inoculations? Would it have been more advantageous if I had done it in a cooler room? I could have done it in my bedroom where I have AC under a flow hood but that AC is pushing mad contams in my bedroom from outside. I was also thinking of the possibility that I get it as cold as possible in the bedroom, then turn the AC off and oust the bedroom the fuck up, and leave my FH on for an hour.
I think the latter idea is best for the hot summer days ahead
My goal for this post is to derive to some kind of consensus through other people’s experience to figure out what’s the best environment to do inoculations in these hot summer days to come, which in my experience, inoculations are probably the most difficult thing to accomplish in this field…(for beginners
So please post your opinion and you just might help the next mycologist out!
Thanks!

well im about to do some inoculations...
went with this choice.... get it as cold as possible in the bedroom, then turn the AC off and oust the bedroom the fuck up, and leave my FH on for an hour.

If you are in front of your flowhood, and all of your work is done within the laminar flow area, I wouldn't think to even worry about temperature.
In front of that hepa the air should be sterile. Outside of the laminar flow, the air is not sterile, no matter the temperature. You either want to be using a flowhood and working right in front of it, or you want to have still air like in a glove box.
I'd be curious to see a conection with temperature during inoculation, but personally that would be the least of my sterile concerns.

85 degrees is a good temp for incubation. I can't see how it would hurt inoculation. I am going to try a summer grow next month just to see if I can do it. Seems like B+ will grow in warm temps OK...

shit innoculating at 85 degrees is hard work, surely I was sweating and I am sure that is a factor.... I had to take breaks here and there
I will compare the 2 inoculations, the one in my bathroom and the one in my bedroom which had cooler temp and get back to everybody
thanx for your inputs
