Okai, been reading on bulk substrates, and think I have a very good idea.
Just want to write it down so someone who understands it properly can point me out right or wrong.
You knock up a decent size jar of grains with a syringe or LC like you would normally.
You need your bulk substrate, manure mixed with straw or a decent compost mix etc.. theres a whole lot of recipes floating around so this isnt a worry.
Now you sterelize or pasturize your bulk substrate Question one: Does the water content matter at this point? can you just mist it down when you mix it with the colonized grain?
Then you break open the bag of bulk substrate and mix it up nicely with your colonized grain. Then lay it out in a nice tray and put a casing mix on top and into a fruiting chamber.
Does this sound about right? The only thing im not sure about is how to get the right moisture content.

after you have a fully colomized cake you would dunk it for six to tweleve hours then after casing has been completed you mist to point of saturation

if you are using pastuerized horse poo it wouldn't be completely dry... it would be moist.
you want to be able to squeeze just a few drops of water out of it... by hand.
then you spawn(mix) your fully colonized grain into it.
