Maybe coprinus... but coprinus mushrooms usually ink up and get gooey rahter than dry out like these caps. The exception I have found was Coprinus comatus, which was beefy enough to dry without inking. Also, that one mushroom all torn up... I think it is different from the others, but it is hard to tell because it IS all torn up. The gills appear lighter than the others. The little Pan is probably another foen.

Not all Coprinus will ink out and self destruct.
In dryer conditions they will dry out and get brittle and fall apart.
I can see the Dark,Black,Blue spoor in this pic.

It looks to me that they came out during a period of rainy wet weather and then it dried up and got hot and they dried up.
My 2 cents

Well, I just got back, from shrooming in some forest...and I think I found active SHROOMS! However, in the cowfield, I went into again, thinking there would be some shrooms there...none! I dunno why, but no shroomsin the cow field, near the terds nothing..>I found lots in the woods though. I found one solid white, one bright vibrant orange, a white a brown spot on the top and what I believe to be active shrooms.

So are any of those pics I just posted active/edible?

You need to spoor print the Dark ones... Trash all the others.. Only keep and print the dark ones.. Get back with better close up pics NOT BLURRY!
Then post a pic of the spoor print!

So, none of the ones I postted earlier today, or just now are active/edible? Or do I need to do the spore print first. Why do you say throw the others away? Are the dark ones mystifying you, or do they look suspicious, for activity?

Should I throw the ones out I found in my lawn earlier today away?

What is that orange one...so exotic looking, and what are the others, I got in the woods...any thing to worry about? Just concentrate on the dark brown ones. I can just spore print ONE dark brown one right, I don't have to test then all.

......They do not look active. And yes, unless they are growing from the same mycellium roots- they are connecting- you need to spore print all of them. Many types of mushrooms can look very similar. I see no blue tinge to anything there, nice finds though!! But don't go expecting to find actives or you will be disappointed, you get what nature gives you. I found hundreds of inedible species before any actives. I throw the ones i don't want back outside to spread spores.

Well dont eat anything cause many dangerous lookalikes but you seem to have found one from all three common genera of the Majic shroom family Coprinaceae......Panaeolus (Panaeolina} foenisecii.......Psathyrella velutina (large brown ones ).........and a definate Coprinus (Inky Cap )........non are active there and there are dangerous shrooms in all these Genera besides Panaeolina......

and cant see enough of the others for to be sure....could be deadly!
should make thumbnails next time kinda a nightmare to navigate but cool pics tho....

Please, I need a reply. I don't seem to be annoying, or obnoxious, that is not in my nature, but I really would like to know as soon as possible.

you are being somewhat of both. You must be patient and no one will reply if you make post like this. Mushroom hunting for many people in this forum is not just about finding some SHROOMS SO I CAN GET FUCKED UP AND TRIP OUT. This is somewhat annoying to me and perhaps others but I will not speak for them. By all means I am not flaming you or anything but rather trying to help you.

So be patient and do some research. there are plenty of things to research on this website as well as other websites that are informative. Anything you read here will be correct unless noted otherwise and probably has been deleted.

Mushroom Johns website will be helpful for you if you are trying to find information about wild actives. If you have no luck finding actives in your area you could take a crack at cult. (if legal in your area, I am not advocating that you do anything illegal) But that takes practice, Patience and knowledge.

Wait, no. I'm not being persistant just to find out, and get fucked up. I suffer from severe OCD, which makes me constantly think about something, and my mind will not be put to rest/ease, until my mind figures out, whatever answer the O.C.D is hung up on. (O.C.D = Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). Sorry, however. I am not trying to do all this, to get fucked up, I have been interested in fungi, and mushrooms, for 1 1/2 years now, ever since I learnt about a poisnous form of mycelium.

Well if you're looking for actives, the dark ones are the only ones that come close to resembling anything active.
