My G.T.`s were very fast colonizers. I saw growth after 3 days but that does not mean you will, one thing about this hobby of ours is that everyone`s stuff is different, some go quick for others and some do not. GL with your studies

The strain is not as much as a factor as how you cultivate them.
It's all in the techniques that you use.

Snaggletooth hit right on the nose. Your set up is a key part. TiT incubators are very helpful and not very much to put together and if you do not have alot of room then just use two smaller ones like I did. jar prep is another big part. GL

I've not grown a lot, but on cakes I used B+ without problems. I made a casing with Koh Samui Super Strain and it rocked. They were short, fat and potent. Folks say there isnt much difference between strains, but man they can sure LOOK different. My vote is for Koh Samui, it colonized super fast and they were more potent than my other grows.

That's just a coincidence. Potency varies wildly from grow to grow, from flush to flush, and from individual mushroom to the mushroom right next to it. You might grow KSSS next time and it will be shit. Ditto for any other strain including my favorites. The bottom line I believe is genetic, but it's the luck of the draw with how the genes line up. After all, ever notice how sometimes smart families have one kid who's dumber than a rock?
Potency also isn't as simple as choice of substrate. If that were so, experienced growers would have long ago figured out a super substrate that will dramatically increase potency every single time.
Just wait a few weeks and eat some more from the same batch. Chances are, you'll visit the moon. RR

B+ is such a slow coloniser and has almost no ryzo growth. It grows really poofy its weird. but it grows huge normouse and fat shrooms.
