When using bulk substrates, which is the overall best in your Opinion? Straw, Poo, or Compost

^^^^?

I'm hoping you folks say straw, because straw is easily avaiable for me and I would rather not work with cow/horse shit when I got something like straw that would work better

Ask any of the experienced growers and they will tell you that Horse Poo
is by far the best substrate to use. pound for pound it has the most nutrients that mushrooms need. this will result in bigger flushes and possibly more flushes as well.

I mix straw and cow poo. this method works well for me (I haven't had the courage to ask the local co op for their hpoo. everybody knows everybody Else's business here!). Oh well, hope this helps

Horse or cow shit won't be hard to me to find, since I'm surrounded by various animal farms

If your city is big, it might have horses in the city patrolling or giving rides.

just order your syringes on line through a vet supply.
or anywhere on line.

no excuse needed.
