Are these jars Ready to Spawn? piktyur
    #5708628 - 06/03/06 07:39 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

The upright one is prolly the most colonated of the bunch. The other one is what most of them are lookin like. These were done 13 days ago. How white does it need to be? Or is it just a matter of if every grain has at least a little myc on it?

Also, growth has seemed to slow down lately

It seems like since I shook them the second time at about 70-80% they have been growing slow as crap, is this normal?

just got one.

it's my wifes and I sneak a pic or two here and there.
I'm going to have some pics, but their upload limit makes it take a long time.

shake at 30% and that is it.
after that one shake, don't shake again until complete.

shaking at 80% will surely slow down the growth. I tried this on one jar, shaking now and again. I think I killed the mycelium or something.

I inoculated it again with more LC and it took off.
so I guess slow growth after a shake is normal, but I would hope that it could recover okay.

That one on the bottom is good to go, the one on top I would wait a bit on, the more colonized the better.
