Casing and FAE question

question: after i case and wait a few days before I put in fruiting chamber, can i leave the casing uncovered in the chamber after I misted it? I have an FAE constantly on and I am always working. Is this still optimal? I know they say casing takes attenance, so can anyone tell me?

keep it covered until your ready to fruit, you want that FAE as a trigger, then when ready to fruit give it as much FAE as possible

no man, my system is awesome. it is automated. Cool mist humidifier/ FAE and timed lighting, covered at all times. should be good enough right. the humidity is at 100%. it is just that casing requires more spraying..help

I suggest misting several times per day before fruiting begins. Once the casing is in the fruiting chamber, it should be uncovered. Always. The misting and fanning create transpiration/evaporation from the casing layer. 100% humidity is too high for a casing. You need your water on your casing to be evaporating into the FC. You are continually misting to replace that water that is evaporating and to keep your casing at near saturation.
I suggest lowering the humidity, you can do this with more FAE. You can also put your humidifier on a timer. Keep your eye on near saturation and keep your temp optimal. hyphae has a great pinning strategy, you should check it out.

Transpiration is very important to pinning success just not excessive. At 100% there is little to no evaporation occurring. GL
-------------------- Getting the most out of your casings!, A pinning strategy. Oyster Shell "Flour" $2 for 1lb. a hell of a deal Not what is overlay but rather what overlay is Gas Exchange vs. FAE "We all have priorities. I used a closet once setup a nice little lab trouble was all the shit that was in there ended up in the bedroom that pissed off the GF then I ended up dumping her as she was getting in the way of my sterile culture technique! Ya I got priorities too!!!"
