Mycobag inoculated over a month ago, STILL NO MYCELIUM?!

What could be wrong here?
Or do mycobags normally take this long?
I do see something in the bag, but I don't think it's mycelium, I think it's just moisture.
The room is kept at 80 degrees (I had it higher for the first week or so but was instructed to lower temp.) and I recently, about a week ago, mixed the substrate around a bit.

Really? Reinnoculate?
There's already 4cc in there.
I don't want to do any damage.
I have 6 cc left. How much?
Do I mix?
I need more details before I take any action, I don't want to have wasted my money.

Waste of money = kits
I'd honestly just make a LC with the 6ccs that you've got left.
Then I'd do some Pf tek jars or perhaps wbs if you're familar with it. Then go from there.
When you mixed the sub. around did you physically open the bag and mix? If so, you might have a contam. prob...Or perhaps a moisture problem.
I don't inoculate with multispore anymore, Lc is just better altogether.

Of course I didn't open the bag.
I followed this: http://www.clusterbusters.com/mycobag.htm
If I am to reinnoculate the bag, how much would you say? Can I add TOO much?

The compact block of material inside the mycobag should be broken up with your hands immediately after inoculation or at least when some white growth is first noticed. This can greatly increase the rate of growth by spreading the mycelium around. Don't worry about damaging the white mycelium and don't be alarmed when it seems to disappear after mixing. It should recover in a few days. You can mix several times if necessary but allow at least 3 days rest between mixings

I hope he means "through" the bag.

Yes, complete pitch darkness, only occassionally using candle light to check for mycelium/check room temp.
I turned on the light switch to check for mycelium before posting this, however.
I can't do a traditional grow tek yet, which is why I went for the mycobag solution. Not enough cash. I am working, but saving my money up. This is also my first time growing.
Next year, I will probably get into some grow teks. But for now, it's mycobag.

Hmm....Odd.
Brf = 3$ for enough for like 3 quarts (more than that mycrobag or about as much sub.) Verm. = 4$ Jars = 9$ or you can just buy them single for like a buck Terrium = 10$-50$
26$-66$ Versus 16$(mycro bag) + 15$(syringe).....
You mean less work
You could get about 4x as much BE if you just did it all yourself...It takes a bit more time, but it saves you $$$ in the end....And considering that you're so worried about $$$ and all...I figured you'd like to know the figures. (see above)
Take care and good luck. Cutting corners leads to looking at a bag everyday HOPING...when you could be SPAWNING.

Maybe I just clicked on the wrong teks, most I've seen equal up to waaaaaaaaay more than that.
I'll definitely look into it later. I don't want to be doing psychadelics all the time, just a handful of times throughout the year... and definitely not as a party drug. Always alone, unless I need a sitter.

Sounds good. If you need any teks or whatnot, hit me up in a PM,
And lots of people go all out on Fruiting chamber and blahblahblah...But when it comes to basics, it really costs nothing and you get a good amount of fruits in return
I myself don't like to trip to often either. But when I do...I go all out..10-20+ (dry grams)

Anyways, good luck with it

Ouch man... 4cc in a bag? Sounds like you might have over innoced the bag. I know that on my first attempts at colonizing a jar I over innocced. (These were premade jars too) Funk dat man... Spend a little bit of money now to get your equip (i.e. PC or a big pot if you are going PF) but in the end it is so much easier than you think! -Me

Well, it's a large size bag, and I was told 1-5 is ideal, and I have read somewhere on this site, someone accidentally injected all 10 into his bag, and he was worried about too much moisture, but his shrooms still grew. So I don't know if I should be worried... then again this is my first time and I know next to nothing.

There is nothing wrong with using kits. Try different methods, and deferent teks until you find out which one you like the most. I have several "projects" going on right now. I personaly think mycobags are cool. Don't make your decision based on other peoples opinions. Like IGnosticAbhorI said, you should realy try knocking up a bag or jars with LC. That will get you the best results, and its super fast too!
