Local environment questions
    #570603 - 03/05/02 02:20 PM (22 years, 11 months ago)

Hi all, been reading Shroomery for a long time and I'm just about to start my first crop. I haven't seen this addressed. I'm well aware that cleanliness of your work environment is very important - that's stressed by everyone. What differance do your local factors play? For example I'm in northern Nevada, so a natural humidity level of about zip might make it more challenging for me to maintain a good terrarium RH level. One benefit of my area would seem to be that the low humidity isn't the best environment for airborne molds, fungus, all the nasty guys we don't want invited to the party - so perhaps I see reduced contamination levels? Perhaps you more experienced cubensis cherubs could post on where in general you're growing from and what experiences you've had because of the locality. Thanks

Your terrarium is a relatively closed environment. Maintaining humidity won't be a problem. Yes, contams are much less of a problem in a dry climate. I'm jealous.
