Bedazzled...

Bedazzled! The original movie, made in 1967, with Duddly Moore and Peter Cook. A great comic variation on the old Faust story with great dialog! Also the source of a great retro-lounge/light-jazz sountrack. I also like George Spiggott's (aka Lucifer's) sun glasses; very sixties; very cool!
It was just on the Fox Movie Channel and despite how hungary I was, and how desparate I was to go out and eat lunch, I had to stay in and watch it again. Now, I'm starving and will go out and eat. Maybe some fresh salmon...

Some, of many, memorable quotes from the movie...
George Spiggott: You realize that suicide's a criminal offense. In less enlightened times they'd have hung you for it.
* * * * * George Spiggott: Everything I've ever told you has been a lie. Including that. Stanley Moon: Including what? George Spiggott: That everything I've ever told has been a lie. That's not true. Stanley Moon: I don't know WHAT to believe. George Spiggott: Not me, Stanley, believe me!
* * * * *
Stanley Moon: You're a nutcase! You're a bleedin' nutcase! George Spiggott: They said the same of Jesus Christ, Freud, and Galileo. Stanley Moon: They said it of a lot of nutcases too. George Spiggott: You're not as stupid as you look are you, Mr. Moon?
* * * * *
George Spiggott: [to God] All right, you great git, you've asked for it. I'll cover the world in Tastee-Freez and Wimpy Burgers. I'll fill it with concrete runways, motorways, aircraft, television, automobiles, advertising, plastic flowers, frozen food and supersonic bangs. I'll make it so noisy and disgusting that even you'll be ashamed of yourself! No wonder you've so few friends; you're unbelievable!

ill check it out.
The remake however features a stunningly drop dead sexy elizabeth hurley. which is worth the price of admission alone.

the M-theory should be viewed as an 11 dimensional theory that looks 10 dimensional at some points in its space of parameters. Such a theory could have as a fundamental object a Membrane, as opposed to a string. Like a drinking straw seen at a distance, the membranes would look like strings when we curl the 11th dimension into a small circle.
