its been about 2 weeks since ive started fruiting and by the time the only thing that had appeared on the top of the spawn is some small pinheads. before that it took about 4 weeks to get casing done so the mushrooms are either retarded or thc got on it. what should i do?

If you don't know what the humidity is then that could be your problem. RH should be around 98-100% for fruiting. Are you casing or just fruiting from cakes? BRF cakes? If casing what are you using?

oh wait. i remembered. yeah the humidity should be fine, except that theres a crack on a side of the chamber which ive made when trying to take the lid off. ive putten some scotch tape around it but now itve fallen off and the crack is open a little bit.

ok so since i dont have the info i need i'll just gab. and assume you do not have a casing. ok so you are using cakes, did you dunk the cakes? if you did not dunk there is the possibility that the moisture was used up during the colonizing stage and now its to dry to fruit.
if you dont have a hygrometer how can you say that the humidity is fine? get a hygrometer.
also you need to be doing something to keep the humidity up! i dont know your setup but i will give you some ideas, perlite.. misting.. or humidifier
you must have control of your environment to be successful and you must be able to measure your environment to troubleshoot

if its a small chamber just use some perlite, get some perlite lay 2in of it and add water until damp this should keep humidity good

I was hoping so! "so u say i put the humidifier beside the chamber and let it rain on it? " That just made me want to check... "except that theres a crack on a side of the chamber " Just made me think the crack would be in a side rather than the lid

i think if there would be a crack on a side of a chamber then the growth wouldnt've gone as far as it did
