Any opinions on blueing?
    #570407 - 03/05/02 10:00 AM (21 years, 6 months ago)

Is the blueing of psylocybian mushrooms good or bad? I've heard some say that is the psylocin or psylocybin oxidizing, therefore rendering it less potent. I've heard many others say the blueing is a sign of potency. Is there a way to dry with no blueing?

i thought they only blue if they are bruised which would most likely be BAD.

SUVhater,
That's what I think. I also agree with you big time on SUVs!

They bruise blue because psilocin is breaking down. This can be good or bad, depending how you look at it: Don't bruise them more than you have to, because you will lose potency. However, if the mushrooms bruise very quick and easily, it means they contain lots of psilocin, so you know they're good.
