Casing Question
    #570254 - 03/05/02 04:05 AM (22 years, 7 months ago)

Hello,
Is casing recommended for the newbie? Should my friend stick with what MMGG says for his first run or is casing something that can be done on ones first try? Does casing tend to produce high yields?

I would do some cakes and some casings just to get famaliar with the process. Casings usually (if done correctly) produce much larger yields than cakes.

though for your first time casing use something like straight vermiculite, rather than and soils etc. a nutrientless casing would make avoiding contamination easier for a newbie.

Ya, just use some damp verm. Not so wet that water squeezes out but wet enough so it sticks like icing on a cake.
It makes a big difference!
