I just recieved a ton of yopo seeds and was wondering if their is any GOOD use for them other than pretty trees, I've read tons of reports both here and on erowid, but the majority say it is horrible, and lady salvia just told me about ten minutes ago it's poison

Well I smoked some yopo in a pipe and got very minor minro effects but I took only 3 small piper hits. Anyway it taste fukcing good. They should roll it and sell it in packs. MMMMmmm.
I belive your suppose to powder it and then huff it up your nose to get the effects. thats what the indians do.

well I have an alcohol extract evaporating on a smoking mixture, should do the trick, just wondering if the trick should be done at all. I'm quite an experienced psychonaut, but I have a couple ounces of sally 10x sitting right here, and ayahuasca and, etc., etc., etc.

I have 2 reports on erowid (under the name elgr) that might be worth reading.
Neither was horrible.

have fun!

i seriously do not reccommend snorting it... the most painful thing you will ever experience... if you need to trip that much be prepared for brown snot and hallucinations mixed in for a few hours

a buddy of mine went to amsterdam and picked some up. He decided to do it the traditional, shamanic, way of ingesting yopo. He crushed a bunch of seeds up, loaded it into a straw, and had a friend blow the mixture into his nasal cavity.
He said it was felt like a small alien creature, soaked in gasoline, dipped in napalm, and then lit on fire, crawled up his nose and sat there.
However he said the resulting experience was worth the hr or so of pain. Personally id just rather order the pure chemical or extract some NN, dmt

You know ever since I saw some South American natives use this stuff ( I believe this is the stuff) I wanted to try it even with what looked like crazy drooling and shit but i don't know about small alien creature, soaked in gasoline, dipped in napalm, and then lit on fire, crawling up my nose and sitting there.

I just thought id make sure that the "head pressure" is very strong. It can make moving most of your body almost painful, tho the neck is the worst... Have a good time with this one, you wont be forgeting this journy anytime soon.

i find yopo very similar to ayahuasca, only short lasting. it is not as simple as crush up the seeds and stick them in your nose, it takes years of practice. i prepare my yopo with b. caapi vine as well. and coda, yopo is bufotenine, not N,N DMT.

yes, in my experience it took lots of tries before my first breakthrough, i almost gave up on it. but then i finally got it working and from then and on i always have a yopo stash, for once in a while. it takes indeed a lot of work in order to prepare the good stuff, so if you don't feel like getting much envolved probably yopo is not for you... i always wonder what bufotenine would be like if extracted, on its own... i read so many contradictory reports, some saying it has psychedelic effects, others saying it doesn't... if anybody has some experience and wants to share i think many of us would be pleased to read...

bufotenin is what causes the bodyload and head pressure, and the negative effects of the yopo (besides nausea probably)

If you can embrace pain as being part of a positive experience, then yes. I think that it is a very special substance. There aren't many people who I know who I would try to get to try it. If you are honestly into these sacraments as sacraments and not just a chemical form of vacation. If you really do believe that there is an entity that resides within some experiences. If you have the balls to deal with real pain. Then its like the psychedelic form of a tatoo if you will. The entire experience isn't about pain. That first 30 min feels a hell of alot longer than that though. If you are trying to circumvent it by smoking it, I don't think that you are really taking advantage of the full potential of this substance. If you are doing an extraction, even if its sucsessfull, I think that you are cheating yourself. So if the idea of having your entire being cleansed by passing through hell is appealing, I'd say go for it. I feel like it is worth it. ps. Magash, I was raised in a Southern Babtist town, and you have no fucking idea how much I feel your sig. -peace
