So I have a ? for Forum readers. This vendor isnt a sponsor but the forums description is "A place to discuss different vendors". I just ordered what I thought was a lab magnetic stirrer fr 8.95 + shipping. I paid red orbit and recieved confirmation that I was indeed recieveinga lab magnetic stirrer for 8.95 + shipping. I recieved it today and it was just a stirbar retriver. I was shocked and eamiled the company. they emailed back offering a refund including shipping. My beef is this. Should I be satisfied? They were the ones who made the mistake they are the ones who should have to honor the deal the offered I accepted and confirmed right? The transaction fulfills all the requirements of a contract. I am just wonering if I am legally able to ask for the product I paid for and told I would recieve?
Links to the stirrers. Check out the description. Its makes no mention of a stirbar. http://shopping.redorbit.com/product.php?productid=7583342&cat=0&page=1 http://shopping.redorbit.com/product.php?productid=7583341&cat=0&page=1

They refunded your money INCLUDING ship costs. As you accepted it, that is the end of (that) transaction. Now, if you want to order the product pictured, I would call them back and find out: Do they in fact have one? In stock? Explain to the person on the phone what has transpired, and ask that they "reserve" one for you. If you can, get someone on the phone ( might take some smooth talking or asking for manager) who can physically go back and get one, put your name and his name on it, and then you send $ and they send THAT one!! Reference his name on payment!! Peace and G/L

They are located in Tyler, Tx. See if you can find company, and call them. Otherwise, it looks like e-mail is only contact. And that is very limiting. They have the right to refund your money if for some reason the product is unavailable. Have you asked them if the item is back-ordered? Can they ship out at a later date? Remember, you are dealing with 8.95 ship- what? 20-30 bucks total? You don't want to spend more than that amount in stress, time and worry. What's your time worth? Take the refund, go somewhere else. Are they asking that the item you recieved be shipped back? And if so, are they including that ship cost in refund?

The page now says out of stock but when I ordered it didnt and was in stock. I placed the order and recieved email it was processed ie in stock and shipped. Apparently three products share the same SKU and all three products are described as the 169.95 stirrer. All three 'products' are listed now as out of stock. I thought I was getting a stirrer for 8.95. I would take the refund but cant find a stirrer anywhere near that price. No they didnt ask for the product they shipped back.

Ask when they might be back in stock, and take the refund. Sounds like they got mixed up with the sku's, and overselling their stock ( easy to do). I haven't checked the site, but it seems that if they sell stirrers for 170, the might sell retrievers for 8.95. You said that you can't find another one for that price((8.95) What is the closest price you can find on a comparable product?

A place to discuss Shroomery Vendors...not Vendors outside of the Shroomery.
This forum was created to have a place to interact with the Vendors that we have here... if there are any questions or problems with their products. The Vendors come in and answer these questions and fix problems with the Shroomery members orders.
So in other words...no one from Red Orbit is going to see this post and offer to help you with your problem.
Try to stick to the Shroomery Vendor list when buying supplies and you will have better service in most cases. If you choose to look outside the Shroomery Vendors for products you are pretty much on your own.
My advice is not buying from Red Orbit...and try and get a refund.
take care!~
