Martha humidity?

I have a Martha setup with a Vick's cool mist and ultrasonic. I'm doing casings. If my humidity stays around 90% with just the cool mist going 24/7, do I need to run the ultrasonic? I've seen on here that some people have their cool mists on 24/7 and their ultrasonic going 15 min every 2 hours. Do I need this if my humidity is around 90% for casings? Thanks.

No, the thing with the ultrasonic it depends where you live and your humidity in your area and such. I'm guessing that ultrasonics's growing shrooms in Palm Springs run a little more often then one's in Miami.

NOOOO. Dont do that long ultrasonic cycle. TRUST ME. Been there... done that... then aborted my ultrasonic. Made too many pins abort, too misty. Got WAAAY to drippy too and soggy underneath. I maintain around 95% using 2 cool mists w/o ANY extra dripping or wetness. Use the cool mist 24/7 to reach your 90%, then either attach another cool mist on a 1 hour on, 2 hour off timer, or, instead, put the ultrasonic on that 15 min / 2 hour timer (can make a little soggy still at first, but oh well)

(I actually use one cool mist pumping in from the outside, and one on the shelf inside on a timer... it creates a little extra heat, but its really efficient since it works so directly to increase humidity. )

What type of timer do you use to put on only 15 min every 2 hours?
