Hello everyone, Just got back from a pond in my neighboorhood and found a few shrooms. I dont know anything about them but would like to try them. I had a whole bag full but by the time I got home they all got smashed when I was riding my bike. I have two different kinds that survived. Could you guys please help?

Not the best way to go about things. -DO NOT EAT!
I dont know what you have there, however I do know that the chances of picking up a mushroom that's edible is far less than the chance of picking up one that isnt.
Moral of the story - dont even consider eating anything you find unless you are 120% sure of ID - some of them can kill you "stone-cold dead-as-a-fucken-door-nail-dead". Good that you put some nice photos up, hopefully it will turn out to be edible, but I'd say that's unlikely.

First off, read everything on this page: Read me so you don't die
We need some more descriptive info to make an ID. They don't look like anything active, ie hallucinogenc. Nor do they appear edible. The mushroom in your second two pictures looks a bit like an Amanita, a genus that contains many horrendously poisonous and deadly species.
Do not eat these mushrooms under any circumstances

Check out that rules thread. There is some important information about them that you left out. We need to know more about the gills and habitat.

Tell him that that's a really really dangerous way to go about things, as you now know. I gave a guy some mushrooms a week or two ago (the proper ones ) and he liked them so much I found out he's been going round and taking ones that he just randomly found(in a massive patch I'm told, something I've never seen - and I know what to look for). Naturally I was a bit shocked to hear this! Fortunately he was still around to heed my warnings in the future.
Would anyone agree with me that the chances of finding a potentially fatal mushroom are about the same as finding one that's edible? I think that would be a cool fact to tout (only if it were true obviously)

I think it would be highly dependent on the habitat and season etc. I think the chances of finding one that is poisonous enough to make you sick (or at lead indigestible enough to do so) is as high as finding something edible.
Someone said this a few months ago, but it's a good quote: picking random mushrooms and hoping they're active is the same as going out and picking random leaves from trees and bushes and thinking they are marijuana.

Ok heres my description of the shrooms:
First Shroom in Pictures:
Gills- The gills are fairly close together and some are looped at the ends
Habit- I found this one on the ground about 15 feet from the pond underneith a bunch of trees. There were other various types of shrooms in the area (not the one in the bottom picture)
Second Shroom in Pictures:
Gills- The gills on this one are alot farther apart then the first one. They also seem to be connected towards the stem and seperate as they go to the edge.
Habit- This one I found on the other side of the pound close to a storm drain that runs into it, in some thick grass and weeds. There were no other shrooms in this area.
Hope these description's help. Here are closer pictures of the gills (in the same order)

You live in the right aria but thats not the right mushroom... Trash it and keep doing your homework.. You will bump into an active mushroom soon enough and with doing your homework and such you should have a better Idea on what you are looking for and what you may have found.
As for the friend who just runs out and eats UFM's!!! Man thats a bad practice that can rune your life and the life's of the people who love you! Ya Dig?

White gills aren't a good sign for actives - all the ones I know about have brown gills and drop purple brown spores (learn how to take a spore print: cut off the stem and leave the cap gills-down on some paper for an hour or so). Probably use black paper for these puppies cos they look like they'd drop white spores / or half cap on white half on black. i do know that quite a few deadly shrooms drop white spores...
once you know what to look for and what to avoid, it's not so difficult if you enjoy the hunt (at least in my part of the world).
