They think they're being "proper." But really, they're just dyslexic people that I want to yell at.

I hate that. My friend's mom was a teacher and she would always say that and that it was proper. I just ignored her.

Linguistics taught me that the English language does not exist as an entity in of itself, only as interpretations and variations on a common system that exist within people's minds. Therefore, nothing is "proper."

The course I took was 101, just basic shit, but I liked the approach. They call it a descriptive science, rather than a prescriptive science.
