question from neophyte

I am attempting to grow mushrooms for the first time and I just checked the jars after 13 days; the mycelium seems to be coming along nicely enough. However, there is one exception. One jar seems to be lagging very far behind. I was wondering if it would be all right to inject more spore solution into that jar.
I must ask directly because I wouldn't know what terms to search for to find the answer... Thanks in advance.

No, I would not, just let it go and see what happens. It could just be slower then the rest, it happens.

If it is your first grow, and you are only experiencing 'problems' in one jar, I would commend yourself.

Actually, one was contaminated and I had to trash it. None of the others are contaminated and only the aforementioned one seems to not be colonizing as rapidly as the others.
MickDawg, thx.
Snaggletooth, okay; I'll see how it looks in another week.

They will/might grow at different paces because:
Did you use a spore syringe? (hopefully orded from one of our lovely vendors) and if so it is because they are 'multispore - resulting in some jars colonising faster than other (if at all)
I have 10 jars currently, 2 are uncolonised, 3 are half-3/4 colonised-the rest are scattered inbetween; I used a multispore inoculation as well.
