I'm sitting next to a failed writer.
    #5699621 - 06/01/06 01:09 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

I'm hearing him talk to his friend about his novel, 24 years in the works. It's about space pirates. This man has skin pastier than cocaine, and hair as black as night. he is decked out in black, mainly leather, with studded belts and bracelets. He has yellow, rotting teeth with gaps between them and they jut in all directions. His eyes seem on the verge of separating from one another and floating loosely in his eyes. He's talking about his work, about twenty four years of writing and rewriting, and he reeks of cheap alcohol.

I turn 23 one week from today.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

I hate reading or hearing about failed writers. It seems a lot like something I should be seeing on a fortune cookie.

Careful OMR. I would recommend not looking directly at him, but it seems like you've already done that.

For some reason I thought you were a lot older than 22....

I am 23 four weeks from today. Hooray. I am a complete bum as of today as i have handed in my final bachelor's assignment. I think 23 will be an age of self-sufficient positivity. At least, that is the plan.

 just relax and experience life man!  There is plenty of time for you to be a great writer but you need something interesting to write about.  Thats where experiencing life comes in.

I bet that book has become an obsession with him.  If it were ever published he'd probably off himself from boredom.

Space pirates does sound pretty cool though... I'm guessing there's space sluts too. Eh?  Eh?  :borfase:

I thought you were maybe 24 or so...
