What do you plan on using it with?
I only ask because vinegar is kind of a staple to hotsauce.

Grind, grate, or otherwise mash up some carrots - try to get 'em as pureed as possible. This will work as an excellent base to help quell the often overpowering heat of the habanero (and it will also preserve the orange color!). From there, add any additional spices or seasonings you may like. Consider:- salt
- garlic
- onion
- lime juice
A touch of vinegar won't hurt either - just don't use a lot and you won't have to worry about it tastin' like Tabasco
This is an adaptation of my all time favorite general purpose hot sauce: Marie Sharp's Hot Habanero Pepper Sauce

I've never done that - but I don't see why not. Give it a shot and let us know how it turns out!

Yes orange juice will work and it will be awesome.
I used to do this back in the day with my neighbors habaneros. Unfortunately the sauce was too hot even enjoy lol so I didn't use TOO much of it but it was good.
You have to the slice the peppers (remember that center core + seeds is the hottest part, toss it if you dont want as much heat) and then let it soak in the juice with salt garlic vinegar OJ whatever. Then just strain. Or don't either way.

ok so I ruined it I think. I added one habanaro sliced. seeds and all, less then half of a tomato. less than half a teaspoon of honey, half a teaspoon of garlic. one orange squeezed. less than half of an onion. and less than half a cup of water. well I threw it all in the blender and pured it. well now it looks....nasty. I think I had to much garlic, because its kinda oily. I have one habanaro left. I dont think im gona do anything with it until I get some viniger and lime juice.

Haha, no doubt - it may look a little funky immediately after blending 'cause you'll have air bubbles all over the place. Let it set in the 'fridge for an hour or two and try it out.. it might be delicious!

Put the habanaro in a food dehydrator until it is dry and then grind it up into a powder. Toss the powder into a bag of corn chips, shake, and enjoy. A little bit goes a long ways.

Habanero hot sauce without vinegar???
You need the vinegar if you want to keep the sauce for any amount of time. No vinegar means you can only store the stuff in the fridge for a week tops, any longer than that and you face the risk of botulism!

Run the habanero through the juicer....
Pour juice into shot glass.
Slam shot.
Chase with milk.

Thats, why I add salt to the hot sauce I make suff. Botulism and other stuff doesn't like salt very much. I store it for about two weeks, but it gets used up faster then that.

The salt draws out the water of the hot pepper's,this making the liquid for the sauce.
