How many fools dose like me?

I have always eye-balled mushrooms or ate as much or as many as my intuition told me to. In some 25 years of tripping I have never weighed out a dosage, either fresh or dried. (and me - the scientist!) But then again, the Indians didn't weigh them either...

Now that I am dreaming of home-growing, I might dream up a scale as well to better determine potency for different strains and methods.

I always eye-ball it. If I bought a 1/2 ounce, then half of it should be a quarter, and half that should be an eight. Doesn't matter if your a little off.

I feel safer eyeing it out than scaling the stuff..

Even when I sell to friends, I eye out the counts..never put it on a digi or a pen.

you trust your intuition!?! that small voice in the back of your head?
would you admit to this in the spir and philo forum?

my shrooms come from the shop in 3g or 5g bags.
i think scales are necessary for chems, but for organics, eyeballs and/or intuition is the age old method.

Weird, I would never have guessed that you go the intuitive route but then I'm no good at guessing, more feeling, gut feeling.....I will say this....in my carefully measured doses right down to the 1/100th with careful selections of a mix of mycelium aborts and mushrooms, my gut does tell me what numbers to weigh up to....this "ritual" just seems to prepare me mentally....

Whenever i used to eat mushrooms that i had grown myself i never weighed them out, just picked a few fresh ones from the cakes and chewed em up! :laugh:

It was alot more fun than knowing the exact dosage....

I am like you, I have never weighed out a dosage. I don't grow, I only find wild shrooms while hunting, and so what ever I find gets used or dried.
Every season varies and every find is different.
