Compost questions for experts
    #5698455 - 06/01/06 04:38 AM (17 years, 7 months ago)

Im going to start making my compost pile and have some questions:

Im going to add fruit refuse and I wanted to know if avocado pear is ok to add.

My coffe grounds have started to mold, is ok to add?

The only compost activator I can get says to have added organic guano and micro and macroelements, is it ok to add?

Many thanks in advance

Since you brought up this post i might as well post my question as well. For 50/50 casing, can compost (store bought) witha % of peat moss in it be used? All i can find in the UK is simply 'Compost', can anyone help me out?

I wouldn't use any kind of compost for a casing mix. You want your casing to me non-nutritious.

FGL,

I wish that I could help you out...
but I mostly use horse poo or compost that my shroomery friends give me.

So I have never took the time to become knowledgeable in the art of making compost.

I wish that Agar was around to help you...
he is a wizard with compost.
