Pics of my first grow! some help needed.

First I would say hi. I have been lurking around here for a while and couldn't have done it without what I have learned here.
I have been working with an unknown strain colonised on WBS and cased with 50/50 vermiculite/peat moss + calcium carbonate.
Pic of my cased tray:
The fruiting chamber consists of a tub with a layer of wet perlite for humidification. Fanning is carried out about 3 or 4 times a day. The temp is 22-25C or 72-75F.
Any way everything is cool apart from my pins growing very slowly (only half an inch high after 2 days). The pins also have a bit of mycelium growing on them:
What am I doing wrong?
Up till now everything has gone super smoothly with no contamination issues.
My second cased natch. How does it look?
A closeup showing tiny droplets. Is this excessive moisture? I haven't been misting just using the perlite humidification method.

Do you have a light on your casings? If you dont, you may want to try and shoot some light on it.

They are in a translucent container and get about 8 hours of indirect sunlight a day followed by a few hours indirect artificial light. Is this enough?

I think 12 on 12 off is the most common practice but I have seen others post 18 on works better. You should try both maybe and see what helps yours the most.

pinning requires more light than fruiting...
you can do 18 then switch to 12, but i always keep mine at 12hrs split

first off...Welcome to the Shroomery!~
enjoy your stay!~

about your casings... they look very nice!~
try to keep your temps in the mid 70's if you can. you have pins now so your humidity level should be around 85% to 90% give them lots of fresh air exchanges....they love fresh air!~ but don't give them so much fresh air that your humidity suffers. and give them some light.
Your just getting done with the pinning stage... They will start growing faster...just have a little patience. They can grow leaps and bounds...after the pinning stage. Hopefully you will see some nice fruits devoloping in the next few days.
Please post some pictures when they devolope.

Do I still mist with a casing sitting on moist perlite?
I was under the impression the perlite alone was enough.

Only 6.3 but that rarey the limiting factor in image quality. Put a crap lense on an 18 megapixel camera and give it to someone who doesn't know what they are doing and you get crap results.
The shots were also taken using an external flash which helps a lot.
