I finally had Ego Death, and....

I now know why I was resisting it so heavily, I won't go into lengthy descriptions of the experience, it was deeply personal and I may never share what I felt in that moment with anyone. What I will say is this, I was resisting because it was a life changing experience. I was raised in a pagan household, raised believing in external divinity in the form of a polytheistic pantheon....
I am now I believe a Buddhist...When I lost my Ego, I saw the divine truth is inside. Oneness and divinity are there a part of us from birth, we don't need to look "out there" for the universal truths, they lie within....
For me at least the path has changed....

Cool... congratulations on your revelations. If you don't mind, (don't say anyything you think is to personal) I would still like to know a bit more... what was it that you were 'holding on' to, why couldn't you let go before and what was it that you change in your mindset to finally be able to???

Congrats, I know how it feels for me is the highlight of the trip. But remember you did not had and "ego death" you just had your ego put to sleep for a wile, so your divine part which is perfect and eternal could emerge. A few thing I learned with this experience. 1)Shrooms will not change you, only show you temporarily and that’s there greatest gift, because one things is to talk about "universal love" cosmic consciousness" etc and another thing is to have a taste of it. . 2) Your ego is not bad, is there for a reason the idea is not to kill it but to be at the service of your divine part. There lies our spiritual work. Keep an open mind not only in the Buddhist tradition but even early Christians believed in this (Gnostics) and in so many other traditions from India to America. In my case I grew up a catholic, and for the most of my life I had an ad version to the Christianity (manly because how it was thought) the day I had my first “ego death” I understood for the first time in my life some of the things that Jesus was trying to teach. Any way I am sincerely happy for you. Love Lobo

Nice post! More people need to know this information. I'm not religious in any way though. I lean more toward the "What the Bleep Do We Know" system and ego death brought be to a state where I was AT that subatomic level and I saw the one-ness of everything. 5 shrooms to you
