Anyone have the growth parameters for Lentinus squarrosulus? Any tips from growers familiar with this species?

Hey Jeffpro,

Stamets, in GGMM, says it grow in large clusters in a fashion similar to
Shiitake, there is also a picture of a large cluster. That's it though there's no info on tempature or humidity.

Thanks - I was looking through GGMM and saw that.  I'm guessing that it will grow in the same substrates as shitake. However, squarrosulus is a tropical mushroom so the RH and temps listed in GGMM might need modification.  One way to find out :smile:

Coltivated in bag, Temperature interval: 28-40°C

Incubation period: 4,5 weeks

Before you get excited, I must tell you that this mushroom, as much as I have experienced it, has no flavor and it is very hard to bite. Yes, it loves hi temp and humidity. It may fruit even after two weeks from inoculation. It is somewhat like the pink oyster, but it does not stink. It is also very tiny, so the crop is small.

Here is the best cluster I've got (sorry for the mess :heart:), on sawdust:
