I am in the process of acquiring a large amount of salvia and wondering what should my starting dose be? I was thinking i would smoke a bowl , see if it feels right and then chew an 1/8. An eating method that is more effective? After i am comfortable with 1/8 i will hop to 5 g i think. what do yall think?

i don't know if you can eat it. Salvia D. has a high burning point to trip. It may be possible, but I've never heard of it. I say just smoke it. And keep the flame on it at all times, and hold for a short period of time, then exhale.

you can eat it. the require dose is much higher, but the effects also last much longer ( i.e 30 min - 1 hour 30 min )

You have to take massive bong rips to get the full effect. Use a gravity bong, it works best. Dont use a joint and i dont think eating it will do anything because you need to have a high concentration of the stuff in your system in a brief period of time. Chewing it like tobacco might have some subtle effects...

Slip a few/or many leaves under your tongue(in your mouth), chew without swallowing much at all, for 15-min to 45-min. Thats the most ancient and traditional method actually.
For a long lasting smoked salvia experience, chew sublingually and then spit it out(you wont need even a half eighth to elongate the smoked experience). PIck up your packed pipe full of leaf and smoke as many hits as you would like. Two hits should be good when using this method.
Hope you are one of those people who can gain access into the strange realms of salvia by just using the leaf, I am one of those people, but many are apparently bored by streight leaf in any form. Dont ask me why. I have no freaking idea.

I have heard such things. I have used this method so many times though, to the point where I think I know what it does when you swallow occasionally while chewing. I know that for me it doesnt hit very quickly, its not as intense, but go figure it lasts longer in the gut. There is no doubt that it adds longevity to the sublingual experience(to chew and swallow)...... But it wont do that if you dont get plenty of the salvia into your system by chewing for a long time first. Swallowing should come later if anything. In my experience, it fucks with my stomach a little bit(tiny bit) and doesnt add much to the trip. So I usually chew for a long time without salivating too much, although at the .5 hour mark your mouth will be full of spit and salvia(and you will have been tripping for atleast 15 min. already). I also follow this up with smoked salvia. The "sublingual" doses can be felt strongly within 5 min though. So you might decide to spit it out before the 20-30 min mark.
CHewed salvia can be very intense. The experience is not much different than smoking it. I personally always enjoyed sublingual doses. Even three leaves lead into a great and short trip, Nice visuals when in the dark. The more you take, the more intimidating it could be for a person who uses it for the first time sublingually. A longer lasting experience is inherently more intimidating for many people when it comes to salvia.

yeah, you sort of suck-chew on it. You place a few leaves in your mouth and chew on them, but dont chew really hard, just enough to get them split open a little and then you just suck on them.
I have found that I get strange effects from doing this. Unlike a usual salvia trip, where you get 5 minutes of total mind-domination, when you chew them its much more subtle and it lasts a long time.
I operated with fresh salvia leaves and about an eigth of them in my mouth. Works alright for me.
Though, I found the best scenario is to chew on some leaves for maybe 10 minutes and then do 2 massive bongs rips and that sets me off like no other. Instead of just coming down super fast after 5 or so minutes, it gives you a much longer come down period, almost 30 minutes for me. So I had the full salvia 5 plus 30 minutes of pretty-close-to-the-first-5.
Tis good shit!

I also find that the effects of large doses of sublingual salvia (1/8th) last way too long. The next day I have strong after effects, visuals ang everything. I once went in for a job inteview(a shitty job at that) and I was so spaced out and seeing visuals to the point that I wouldnd be surprized if I was acting a bit strange and didnt get the job because of it). I was articulate as can be, but my body/possibly dilated eyes/ inspired capacity to speak may have been a bit much for this person who set up art galleries. I was fully qualified. I also am a guy with long hair, so Im not too sure why I didnt get the job beyond the after effects.... I hear this lady was sexist as can be, so maybe that is why I didnt get the job.

I've never smoked it but I have taken it orally. I put a wad under my lip like a dip while watching TV. I remember thinking after about 20 minutes that nothing was happening. Then I woke up like an hour later standing by my back door and had no idea how I got there. I can remember a huge struggle but little else about the experience. Creepy.

if you don't want to pick leaves out of your teeth for the whole duration of the trip:
1. get your dose (around 5x your smoking amount) 2. cut a small hole in a teabag 3. empty contents 4. fill with salvia leaves and wrap tightly with string (either plain leaf or extract) 5. wash your mouth with listerine or something like that 6. take a tiny sip of your strongest liquer and hold in mouth with the quid 7. chew and suck the juices for as long as you can without swallowing or spitting

I chew elegantly........ How the hell have you been chewing this stuff???????
If I did have shit in my teeth im sure I wouldnt notice.
Salvia quids taste pretty nasty by themselves. If I were to add alcohol it wouldnt make much of a difference besides making it taste even worse than the natural and chalky taste of chewed salvia... When compared to the taste of alcohol, I love the taste of chewed salvia.

I don't know what i've done wrong, but my friend and I have tried salvia quids with plain leaf about 5 times all together and have not experience ANYTHING. It's not the salvia, because we've gotten effects from smoking it. We had dried leaf, soaked it in water for a little bit, rinsed with listerine and chewed on the leaf for half an hour and held it under our tongues when we weren't chewing and nothing happened at all. Any explanation?
