When using hpoo do you compact it into the tub when it colonizes?

I just pasteurized my hpoo and was wondering if i should compress it or how hard i should push it down after i mix in my wbs also i should make it as even as possible after mixing and compressing?

just mix it... don't compact it... you want some aeration to it.
what do you mean even as possible?

yes, even as in at the leve of the tub, but not even as in smaller scale. it doesn't need to be 'smooth' just evenish.

If you really want to make it level, just shake the tub itself. Not hard, just a shimmy.
Whatever you do, don't compress the material unless you really enjoy waiting longer for your shrooms.

You want an even surface but do it by raking, not pushing or packing. Gently sprinkle the manure into the tub or tray allowing only gravity to push it down. Straw is the one you compress. RR
