Even myc growth in incubator jars

I was looking at my jars that I inoced on the 22nd and noticed that most of them were nearly colonized except for the bottoms. The incubator has been between 84-85 most of the time. I'm thinking that the extra heat on the bottom of the jars, caused by contact with the bottom of the tub, is stalling growth. I'm guessing that lining the bottom with a towel would prevent this and shave a couple days off the colonization process. It's a minor detail, but I'm sure it would help if anyone else is having the same problem.

that happens some times to my wbs jars too. what i do is when it's about 70% or so, i just flip the jars and let them coloznie upside down. that fixes the problem. also, if you let them colonize on their sides from the start, that should fix the problem also - i believe it's a minor humidity issue(but i could be wrong)
