Microwave sterilizating casing AND substrate

I've read from the FAQ and multiple posts that the casing layer can be microwave sterilzed. However, I've only heard mention here and there anything about using the microwave to sterilze poo. I just wanted to post to get a definative answer from somebody out there with more experience than me.
I had one successful grow with BRF and took a long hiatus from growing mushrooms and now have some WBS quart jars colonizing nicely in my TiT. I was going to simply case my spawn but I have some dehydrated TennStud compost just laying around and figured I would give bulk a shot (even more after learning subs/casings can be sterilized quickly and easily in the microwave).
I haven't found much information about poo in the archives, most information is about straw. I was wondering if I should mix some verm with my TennStud substrate to hold moisture/make it more airy. If so, what ratio compost/verm?
Thanks!

Steralizing casing is what most people do, there is no chance to kill good microbes, as the casing layer isnt supposed to have any in the first place ( casing layers are non-nutritious) BUT there are quite a few of us old hands that prefer steralizing substrate..
no chance of missing a baddy while trying to save the good microbes..
it may take just a little more work, and you have to be up on your proceedures, but it is definately worth it!
all that nice brown water you pastuerize in is chock full of the nitrogen and other stuff myc just loves to snack on!
i would much rather let the mycelium eat it then poor it down the drain!!!!!
this will help ya out a bit
AND
THIS ONE
One more for the road
AND Optx, i have just read a few of your replies to this and other threads, and you are one of the most negative people i've seen here at the shroomery inna while.
There is no need to be so condescending

make sure that the casing material is wet when you place it the microwave because steam is the only reason it sterilizes anything in the microwave.
microwave alone can not sterilize.
poo doesn't need to be pasteurized but it will sprout some weird shit like flies and gnats and you don't want that in yo house. mix straw 50/50 with the poo and pasteurize at 140 for two hours. straw will hold some extra moisture. allow to cool to room temp or 70 degrees and then you can spawn.
