That might be a Coprinus mushroom. Not psychoactive.

Can I ask how you guys ID'd coprinicus over say a Pan cyan? I'm getting ready to go searching for pans and am trying to get to grips with the various copricinous/panaelous species.

Well, with some coprinus (a lot of the common ones) the gills turn to a dark inky substance with age. If you study the coprinus and panaeolus genus via internet information, you should be able to get a good idea of how to separate them. The general look of them separates them from panaeolus.. Pans have mottled gills also. White spotted area from the uneven ripening of spores.
An easy way to separate pan cyans from coprinus is the intense bluing. Pan cyans will blue unmistakable. Coprinus specimens break and fall apart easier. Pan cyans are pretty sturdy.
