millet to the max

ok i know with rye its basically 1:1 ratio rye:water. is it the same with millet? i got a bunch that i wanna use and im cooking up jars TOMORROW! woohoo! got my PR and TC syringes all ready to go; but i just wasted 1 PR on my last batch of rye jars (iits not all lost yet but not great either). anyway i want my first millet experience to be a good one so at last; what is teh best way to prepare my millet. do you suggest steeping or just measuring it out?

1:1 is around right for millet, but I found that I had to play with that ratio before I was able to get into the swing of things. I suggest you try a few small test jars to get your golden ratio.

I also let my water soak into the millet overnight to germinate endospores before the pressure cooking is done.

There are many other millet teks around, just search this board and the forest floor, you're bound to get hundreds of results.
