Best and worst beers

I know there have been several threads about beer, but I decided to start a new one. In your opinion, what is the best and worst beer out there? For best, I would say yuengling lager, and for worst, I would say natural ice or milwaukees best.

For best, I guess I'd say either Blue Moon or Newcastle. Worst, I'm not sure. The ones that people often name as the worst(Budweiser, Natty Ice, etc.) are just ones that don't have much taste at all. There are several beers where I remember not liking the taste, but I don't remember any of their names.

Karhu is pretty awesome. finnish "bear beer." (I think theres a bear on the bottle. people call it bear beer. makes sense, yeah?) tough to find in the states, but totally worth it. worst beer... natty ice is pretty gross most of the time. even when you get to the point where you don't care what you're drinking so long as it's beer.

i get sam adams, or somtimes saranac, if i want a decent brew worthy of the title "beer" without paying too much. magic hat makes some interesting beers but they tend to be pricey. i generally like ales better than lagers.
right now i can't afford to be drinking good beer all the time, so i haven't tried too many good ones, and my suggestions are limited. i have had a few though. they are usually ales and come in dark brown bottles that you need a bottle opener to get into.
anything that has some complexity of flavor and isn't mass-produced cheap lager, i'll probably enjoy drinking, no matter what the style, but i probably end up drinking 40 shitty beers for every good one, because i'm a student and that's what i can afford.
bottom line for me is that it's impossible to pick a best beer because there are so many different styles and so many different examples of each, and it's impossible to pick a worst beer because there are so many equally awful examples of the cheap, tasteless, macro lager formula (they shouldn't even call that stuff beer IMO).
i'm surprised that corona, blue moon, and especially bud light were listed as bests. jeeze.

yea I gotta go with the Hoegaarden. I like Hieneken, Yeungling, , Red Stripe, and Magic Hat, and honestly for how cheap PBR is and the fact that I am a poor college student I can't afford all those yummy beers all the time... PBR does me just fine.
I fucking hate, hurricane kitty, budweiser, and mother's milk.

Maybe its my fucked up taste buds, but that shit is nasty. It always gives me a fucking headache. And it is a 5.5% alcohol content witch is stronger then most American brews. (which is nothing compared to a heavy Scothish ale I make at 12.3%)
As a home brewer, most people do not know (at least in America)that most beers (ex specially ales) are meant to be drunk at just below room temperature. The reason why the major beer distributors want you to serve their beers ice cold, is so it numbs your taste buds, thus, you will not be able to tell if they made a shitty batch of beer.

My favorite all-time beer was Watney's Cream Stout, which sadly is no longer made. I could drink that beer every day and not even think about any other beer it was so damn good. It was expensive here in Ohio but worth every penny. The only beer that comes close in my opinion now is Beamish Stout, it's pretty good but not equal to Watney's.
The worst is Malt Liquor like someone said before, not made for taste or real enjoyment. Colt 45 is a big offender but the king was Schlitz Malt Liquor (anyone remember the Schlitz Malt Liquor bull?). As soon as it hits your tongue your taste buds take a gigantic shit in protest. I hope that beer is out of production.

I agree. Anyone who picks a domestic macro brewed beer as the best beer doesn't know shit about beer. Go on a quest to find Hoegaarden, then explore beers from other countries or microbrewed US beers (BlueMoon is great).
