Dried Amanita Muscaria - eating vs. tea?
    #5688885 - 05/29/06 10:53 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

I ordered some Washington State amanitas, grade A (not A++), 1 oz. from iamshaman.com, and I was wondering, I know they are pre-dried, but are they pre-dried properly, or is there still ibotenic acid in there? Do I need to boil these dried caps and drink the tea, or what?

Was thinking about weighing one cap and if it's about 5g, then just eating it like that. But I dunno. Lots of people seem to make tea, but I've also heard too much heat kills the muscimol.

Any input appreciated, thanks.

I eat A. muscaria as a brain stimulant. Grinded material of 3 grams.
I like it's taste becouse it reminds me of Knorr cubes. It would be easy for me to consume 10 grams of muscaria.

I hear LOTS of mixed opinions. It's great, everyone should try it! It's horrible, no one should try it!

Quality is different depending on how well it's been heated/dried, when and where it was picked, etc.

Maybe it's like DXM or yohimbe... some people get high from it, some people don't and have a shit experience, it just depends on the person.

I dunno, I'm still gonna find out for myself.
