The Milk-Dunk Tek!

I am wondering if skim milk is necessary (rather than whole or vitamin D) for dunking cakes after flushes. Milk supposedly produces way better flushes, no? Also, dunk for 12 hours, or 24? What's your opinion?

teks say not to dunk any longer than 24 hours. i always dunk for 12 hours, i think 12 is more than enough time.

you use skim milk so you don't have cow fat and other shit on your cakes. Think of skim milk as water with some added nutrients. I think whole milk will contam a whole lot easier than skim.

Can you please explain a bit more about this "milk dunking" process?

Do I simply leave a cake in a bowl of milk for 12 hours?
Would it better to drill holes into the cake for sponge-action?
