 birdseed ? whats up with the seed

ok, afoaf plans to follow Dethheads birdseed tek, it seems easy enough... my friend that knows this guy whos friends dog grows shrooms is gonna use birdseed, only he was wondering what is the benefit to using seed.... on brf/verm the dog gets ok results but the fruits are skinnier and smaller than most pics... will the birdseed produce a more bulkier mushroom? also will the yields be better, compare 1 quart jar to 1 pint jar of brf/verm also what is potency like on birdseed compared to brf/verm.... ??? anyone with any experience please reply maybe some day ill run into my friend that knows a guy who's friends dog grows shrooms and ill try to pass on the info...

as I understand it, the major benefit of using birdseed (or rye) is that it is more amenable to being broken up and cased if it is properly prepared. I started off using with birdseed as I intended to case from the beginning. I believe the casing allows you to get a more even set of pins/shrooms.

the dog will definitley case, i think he was wanting to know about fruit size, yield and potency compared to brf/verm

If you want thick fruits, u need a thicker middle layer of casing. You should see a difference. That is ofcourse if everything else is okay.
