Malt/dextrose LC question

I have recently made two LCs from spores and both have run for about 5 days on a magnetic stirrer with no signs of growth. When I pulled them off and decided to dump them they had a sweet yet mildly sour smell to them.
I made them at a 4 % light malt extract/dextrose to 96% water by weight. So I weighed the water divided by 96 to figure out what one percent would be. Multiplied that by 2 and and added that much malt and then that much dextrose. I threw it on the magnetic stirrer to get it mixed up and then pressure cooked it for 20min in a quart jar with two pieces of rubber hosing coming out the top that were plugged with polyfil like agar used.
I then took it out and strained through 2 coffee filters and pressure cooked again for another 20min. Let it cool and then shot up w/about 3 CCs of multispore solution. After the solution had cooled it was no longer transparent.
Anyone know what I did wrong and or have any suggestions for future trials?

I make mine with 10g of malt/dex mixed with 4 cups.

I dont use tap cause it rely sucks, Then I heat the water then mix in the malt/dex on the stirrer for a while then I filter it, I never had luck with coffee filters, I got this for a different reason but it rock's the LC,

Here are my lids for LC and Grains,
 
And in 4-5 days from spores on a constant stirrer,

welcome to the world of bacteria...the sweet sweaty smell is a major sign of a bacteria infection....
Ive noticed that if you are re-useing old mason jar's that previous had grown stuff in them that you'll just keep running into the problem even if you extent the pc'ing and everything....
Buy new jars, they come 100% sterile. there's no way anything other then bacteria can survive a pc'ing so new jars are ideal to start a LC in, also useing distilled or bottled water helps. Tap water tends to have alot of mineral's and salts in it.
Also, another sign that it is bacteria is the way the myc is, it should be extremely fluffy looking and in longer stran's then roundish ugly looking spots.... I'll try to upload a picture of a dextrose LC i made recently and the diffrence in the myc in a few hours.

Thank you both for your replies.
Snaggletooth do you just put the nexcare right over that quarter inch or so hole and use that as your filter?
Pr0_X I'll take your advice and use a brand new jar this time. And I would really like to see those pictures.

Yes I use the tape over the holes,
And I dont recommend using just new jars, that is not reasonable.
