FAE question

i drilled some holes in my FC for FAE. instead of stuffing with polyfil i taped with micropore tape. i looks much neater and i am hoping nobody sees a problem with this. am i giving any air up with the tape, anyone tried this with no problem. just not sure how freely air moves through micropore tape. should i just make sure the air is always moving in my cultivation room or is it fine. any suggestions or comments are much appreciated.

Micropore tape is for gas exchange air will not move freely at all through it. Polyfil

doh, i'm confused though. air is gas. 75% nitrogen, 22% oxygen,% carbon dioxide, something like that. i want to move oxygen and carbon doixide. so what it the diffrence, it just doesn't move with enough force or intact??? please explain if you know.

I beleive and plz guys if I am wrong forgive me. The micropore is to let out more then let in. You want free flow air with filtering for for FC thats why you fan. Micropore lets the gas that biulds up out but not good for letting new air in. I hope this is right, pretty sure it is

I have so many times already
Gas exchange: The ability to release builtup gases resulting from the myc's metabolic activity (consuming substrate). A result of this inability to release these gas creates EXCESS myc piss which BTW is a normal process (myc piss) but an excess is not, it can easily stall a cake. (do not lick your cakes or leave your holes taped) Simply put it's an exchange in values.
FAE (fresh air exchange) is the lowering of the co2 concentration through the introduction of fresh air plain and simple. A good fresh air exchange includes the stagnated moisture pockets of the casing surface (microclimate).

alright so if i leave my holes on my FC taped, this helpes with gas exchange while i am at work, like 9 hrs, but i will still fan 2-3 times a day. i have 8, 1 inch holes , 4 near the top, 4 near the top of the casing. this is not for cakes this is a grain transfer to my substrate, then case. i guess a monotub. if i use straight polyfil i may be able to cut the fanning out all together and cut down contams being introduces, is this correct. if so i will use the polyfil and only open my FC to harvest and patch.
