Glad you found an answer, I'll throw in my 2 cents...
I'd say, if you flip, be confident that it needs it, and keep it flipped until colonized... it's the unflip that will deposit verm down the sides of the jar if the cake has shrunk a bit. This ups the contam risk on uncolonized substrate. Of course, if you're flipping, you're trying to save a jar anyway so it's something to try.
I'd like other opinions on this, it's something I debated in my head when I was doing PF. Flipping does seem like it would be helpful if the substrate is too wet near the bottom, flipping to adjust CO2 levels seems dubious.

you flip when it seems to have stalled and wont progress any further,
now chriss.. if you think you may have done something to contaminate your nearly fully colonized cake you can birth it and break off the uncolonized portion

There done bro birth them and rinse them under the faucet using tap water you can use your freshly antibacterial scrubbed hands to rub and clean off any and all verm, mycelium matter (bits) as well as any pins. You also are going to dunk (distilled water) right as well as roll and double end I hope because those cakes are look great so far bro!

Well you can boil (15min.) the water also and dunking after it cools. H2O2 does retard growth slight but does recover nicely, I personally never do anything that isn't necessary and only use peroxide if I suspect contams.
