I have a really fat vase that looks exactly like a bong that was just made into a vase. Problem is, i dont know how or where to drill a hole in the bottom part, especially since Ace or Home Depot don't do it and they don't know shit either. Any ideas?

yup glass drill bit... i could never find a big enough one but i just stuck a plastic hose into it (like they use for air condition drains) and plugged the bowl on that (it works good to keep the hole air tight and goes as deep as you want so you can drill wherever it looks best!)

diamond bits and a low speed drill with cooling oil is the best method, you'll have a greatly increased chance of breakage with those paddle style bits

If you cant find a glass bit, just take a dremel tool with a carbide tip. (one that has a bunch of tiny sharp little "bumps") then submerge the glass piece under water, make sure theres water on the inside too. this stops the glass from vibrating so much that it breaks. and drill your hole out! best part is, with that tip i can make a tiny little hole, then just make circular motions around the hole to make it bigger. so easy it takes like 20 minutes. -unfortunately i cant find my carbide tip, and my gf's mom has these huge glass decorations thatt she said i can have one to make a bong. lol

After drilling out the hole with the dremil diamond bit, pollish it up with one of those green bits, they will give the glass a frosted look, and sand down any rough edges left from the carbide bit.
the diamond bit is like $6-9. Make sure to wear eye protection.
My dremil died drilling glass... my theory is that too much of the glass dust got inside and coated the armature somehow.. so the under water technique sounds legit, it would also keep that harmfull glass dust out of your lungs and eyes.
