Just wondering of anyone has had success with worm caseing and coir mixed at about 50/50 maybe with some crushed oyster shells in there as well?

What? I could be totally off but that sounds wrong. Worm caseings (castings?) are freakin worm poo. Worm poo = substrate, not casing.
Do 50/50 with peatmoss or something. I was using 60/40 coir/verm. Now i use a mix of around 40% verm, 40-50% peatmoss, 10-20% coir.
But yea... mix those castings in w/ some straw or something to make a good compost. But not for caseing.
Thank you bye!

I want to do it as a sub, but it is called worm caseing so sorry for the confusion.
The sub of I was thinking 50/50 coir worm caseing w/ crushed oyster shell in a mono tub.
The only reason is that I have to goto work and wanted to stop and set some suplies on my way there. Sorry for the inconvience

Worm castings, coir, cow manure, horse manure, compost, hemp fiber, straw, and dried seaweed all make excellent substrate; individually, or mixed in whatever proportions one has available. If the mix you brew up seems 'heavy' toss in some vermiculite to cut it. RR
