OK.. I don't know if this particular forum is the correct one for this post.. so i am sorry if it is in the wrong spot...
I have decided to make myself a flow hood... and hopefully i have done it right... lol
I went to the local hardware store and purchased approx $55 in supplies.. and thats all needed...

I assembled then wood into a box missing one side....
Then applied a bathroom ventilation fan.... and a filter
and Vola...... Desk top Flow hood.

Sadly, that fan will not provide laminar flow, nor will anything less than a hepa filter keep out contaminates.

for our purposes you want atleast 99% filtration preferrably h14 99.997% fitlration.
youd prolly be better of with a still air glovebox.

Those super allergen filters make nice pre-filters to extend the life of the laminar flow hepa filter. You want 100 to 150 linear feet per minute leaving your laminar flow hood. A 12 X 24 filter has two square feet of surface area. For that size filter, you'll need a 200 to 300 cubic feet per minute(cfm) blower, and make sure it's rated to deliver that 200-300 cfm at 1" of static pressure. They're available in the US from Grainger Supply for about $100. RR
