Don't think they're "good" if you mean psychoactive.
I found someof them the other day too, they look pretty cool once they've grown a bit (could be a different mushroom though).

I really don't think so, but I don't have anything to base that on.

The picture labeled "purple puch fungus" is called Thaxterogaster porphyreus, I am unsure of the edibility of this species.
The pictures Bread posted appear to be one of a number of blue or purple Cortinarius species.
And the last photo posted by knos look like typical "Blewits" or Lepista nuda, which are considered by many to be a good edible. But as the photo is a bit far, a close up picture and a couple positive ID's from some of the reputable board members seems best before throwing them in a saute pan.
 Nice Finds, all of them!!

I am pretty sure that the pics I posted and the ones posted by knos are the same. Here are photos of the same ones in my above photos, taken 7 days earlier:

I wouldn't bother with them. As CureCat suggested, they look like Cortinarius species. Cortinarius is a genus not to be messed with. Some species within this genus contain a deadly toxin that takes up to 2 weeks to manifest it's self. By that time you're dead unless you get a kidney transplant.
Cool looking mushrooms. They're best for looking at. Don't eat them.

knos, that photo you linked to is outstanding. If you took it, great job!
Break, your specimens are from the genus Cortinarius, as mentioned by others above. The ring zone on the stem that turns rusty brown with spores is very typical of that genus. Try looking very closely at that zone and you will find it's made of a bunch of threads like spider web.
Thaxterogaster is a genus closely related to Cortinarius, with the difference that Thaxterogasters will never have the cap open up (that's called secotioid). If you cut one in half you will find that the gills are sort of all twisted up inside. It's an adaptation for dry climates.
None of them should be eaten. Although most are probably harmless, the few taste tests I'm aware of indicate that they are fairly worthless as food, and none of them are active. Also, there are a few species that are closely related that, as Gumby mentioned, have deadly toxins that destroy the kidneys.
Blewits can be distinguished from these similar Cortinarius species by looking at young specimens for the spider web partial veil that connects the stem and cap edge, and also you can check the spore color. Cortinarius have rusty brown spores, Lepista (Clitocybe) have pale pinkish spores.
They are pretty, though, and often occur in huge numbers in the woods.
Happy mushrooming!
