How do you know it's too dry? It sounds like you need to order another bag if it is, or get some jars and make your own stuff. If you do inject water, just boil the syringe in a kettle for fifteen minutes, then suck up some of the boiling water and squirt it right into the bag without waiting for it to cool first. If you inject through the filter, it's likely to allow contaminants to pass later. You can stick a blob of rubber silicone on the plastic part of the bag, then the next day when it's set up, you can inject through that. It will close off when you withdraw the needle. RR

I could be wrong, but I think he's talking about the self-healing injector site type of bags. In which case, you want to inject through the injector site, not the filter patch.

Your myco bag isnt dryed out mate. If its left unincubated before you use it it looks dry but when you put it in an incubator its becomes wetter looking with condensation in the bag. If you've had your bag in the incubator and it looks dryed out then i aint sure but i cant see how it could have dryed out

I though that with mine also. I was waiting on my syringe and when i got it, my bag looked dry to the bone but it obviously wasent once i put it into my incubator. I recommend you put the bag in some warm water to see if the rye inside gives out water its holding in. Obviously making sure no extra water leeks into your bag. Good luck

Well my myco bag wasent colonising (imapcience)and i put a whole syringe full of spore into my bag. It eventually colonised but there is too much water at the bottom which stunts colonisation at that area. I think the bags are made with the best water content
