My first armed robbery experience

Protect yourselves people, today had to be the most intense day of the year. I was goin to get some pills, the week before I lost money in an unrelated situation, but this time I decided to go with my friend and play it safe (ironically) We waited in the backyard of some dudes house, for about 15 minutes. Kid kept stalling and then his parents left. I dont expect robberies to happen in front of peoples house, but this dude set me up. He wanted us to wait there for the other people to leave so they can send some shit bag gang banger over to pull a gun on us. So getting more anxious, we wait and then this tall black dude comes around askin us if we needed trees. Then he asks me for the time and when im reaching for my phone, he pulls a gun on me. "Empty out your mother fuckin pockets" I gave him the money, my friend is telling him "dont do this man, just dont" He asks for more, I pull out my phone and just jetted. Ran a quarter mile from this son of a bitch and called the bastard, letting him know that hes gonna get it for setting us up. Problem is, I dont own a gun. There are a million ways I can think of harming this individual, but now my friends on the streets with beef on his back, and I dont want him getting hurt. Should I propose a vendetta if anything were to happen to my friend?

How about you give up drugs? You'd think that be the smart thing to do. Something's telling you it might not be worth the hassle.

How much money did you loose???
This is VERY important when deciding a course of action. Action on behalf of those in war when an ocean of targets is considered must be precise. Was the gun loaded, could you have dropped kicked the pistol out of the motherfuckers hand, Is your ninja better than his ninja? How much money was at risk, did you get played? You already put yourself in a sketch situation. Problem one, when I bust, I put myself in a sketch situation. Nine times out of ten, it's my own mis-judgment, not 'the world hating me' that makes me loose something.
Loosing money sucks. Think about it.

At this point I dont really give a shit. I lost about 200 dollars and an 8th of shrooms. I hope the bastard eats the entire thing. The gun was probably not loaded, the neigbor in the backyard was having a BBQ, so I sensed the hesitation with the other dude. I told my friend that this sounded extremely sketchy, but he said it was ok. This dude was pretty big tho, if one of my other friends came, we could have took him. But we were foolish. Im not a hero dude, if I ever feel like my life is being threatened, I would rather compromise then facing a potentially fatal incident.

Why don't you toss your buddy that you were talking about in psych experiences ( here ) a little cash to put the fear of god in the kid that set you up? Just a suggestion.

I have a theory, however I do not wish to test it, lol... My theory is... if someone pulls a gun on you to rob you, just run like hell in the opposite direction. 1.) They will shoot you, but if they shoot you in the back, they probably would've shot you anyway. 2.) You get away, problem solved.
I guess there is a third possibility of they run after you and beat you up and then take your money, but if you run to a public place at least they have more of a chance to get seen/caught therefore they are less likely to do it.
I think it is wise to arm yourself, but I think it is equally wise to not put yourself into a possition that you'll need to use it. Most likely in the situation they would've had the upper hand. They would've pulled on you first so if you tried to pull on them afterwards the odds are in their favor that you are going to get shot.
Best sollution is to not put yourself into this possition in the first place... Grow/make your own, use your own, don't sell your own. And at very least, don't make transactions with people you don't know well/trust.

Lets be real here, if put in a similar situation as Jon, would you have more faith in your own body or some n**** that can't fucking aim? It's a coin toss either way. I'd take my chances, especially if it was dark out.

Fuck running. Option one is you get shot. Now, when you give them the money, you live. When you fight back, you either live or get shot. Now, WHY WOULD YOU RUN, when you could FIGHT, because both options end in possible getting shot, however when you run, you can't loot the motherfucker. But when you kick his ass you can tie him up, and drop him in the woods barefoot, 1000 miles from home in crayfish territory. Thus the only choice here is give the goods, or jack him the jaw while doing a quick arm movement to divert the line of fire( away from you or your friend or the hot chick sitting on the stairs) and kick the fuckers ass. Easy said, not easy done. Life. I can't imagine how I might react. I would give them, the money, unless I was naked then I'd have to kick some ass

I couldn't even begin to say. such a call would have to be made on-site, taking into consideration all factors such as terrain, is there a corner to duck behind, the body language of the attacker, etc. etc.

last thing a gunman thinks will happen is that a scared little white fella will start to fight back, all you have to do is grab the gun and twist it, it pops right out of his hand... do it right and you break his finger in the process
of course, like LF said, it's an on site judgement call you cant know for sure unless you're there

You should rear naked choke his mother until she dies. That will teach this fool to set you up via tall negroid friends in his backyard or whatever and you run and tell him you are going to get him back forever! Nobody will ever fuck with you again, and you will be free to purchase prescrition medications illegally at your leisure.

Throw a roach into their garbage. The first thing cops do when they receive reports of drug activity at a house is to take the garbage off of the curb (they can do this without a warrant). If they see anything or if a dog gets a "hit" they can get a warrant to come into the house.

All in all, there was a large possibility that the dude would not have shot me. I got set up right by their house in a residential area. Me and my friend were both too scared to do anything, fuck the gun could have been fake. It looked like a walter that held 11 rounds, shit could have been a replica. I dunno, I dont wanna get shot, and I dont want a gun to protect myself. Mace would have been awesome in this situation, cus we could have kept the money and robbed the bastard at the same time. Im not going to underestimate bad areas anymore, but next time im put in such a situation, I hope I dont get stupid.

I think im gonna drink myself stupid tonight like I did last night. Its the next day, and im just thinking "jesus, some dude pulled a gun on me yesterday" Its not like that lady that got mugged and thinks the robber is behind the curtains every second, but im dissappointed in myself for getting myself in such a situation, the robber has my friends phone and theres no way I can get in touch with him after what happened.
Not only am I worried about my friends life, but I am feeling a very unnatural after affect of my near death experience. My pride is in the trash can right now, people might get hurt over a stupid 200 dollars that looks like 200 million to these fuckin low life coons. I am not too excited over the fact im alive right now, rather im upset that I gave in to the low class bullshit no one deserves to go through.
Anyways, I wanna thank everyone for their replies, my friends werent really around to talk to me after all the bullshit was over, now I gotta tell them I was being a dumb ass one more time, better be the last.

I already said basically that, except in a less drawn out, overly explanatory way..

I don't agree with that. I believe above all and no matter what, you should never stoop to the level of a rat. There are better ways to handle it without getting the police involved

Shit in a paper bag and burn it on his doorstep, then ring his doorbell.

I just got in touch with my friend and had a long talk with him. I asked him to come back to my hometown that night but he didnt because he wanted to get his friends. On his way there, the robber caught up with him with 8 other dudes, and bothered him for more cash. They made him strip down to his skin in the rain, furthermore it was across the street from the police department. I hear stories about drunk coke dealers getting into accidents, getting caught with their shit and comin out of jail within 5 days without having to go back to court. The area is obviously very corrupted and dangerous.
His friends told him that those gangbangers were quite dangerous and they could do nothing about it, but it was bullshit. One of his friends gave the shrooms I lost back to him. He realized how messed up the whole situation was and somehow ended up eating the shrooms too like a dumbass. He split it with some other gang banger that supposedly got extremely emotionally unstable.
During his trip, he figured out that everyone was in on the set up. Everyone he was with knew what was going to happen, except for a few people. He had a horrible trip and concluded that he had no friends. His friends were put in a prideful situation to deceive me and my friend.
He came to his hometown today feeling extremely betrayed, and I had a super long talk with him on what we should do with our lives and how to avoid such situations. He has to move out of there before things get ugly, I get the feeling that those low life coons aint done with him yet.
Anyways I feel alot better now that I know hes safe. We both admitted we have alot of demons to fight, and its true. Theres been some fucker hovering over us in our sleep for the past few years, and for the past few weeks, the worlds been coming apart. My neighbor got beat up the same day I got robbed, my teachers student died in a motorcycle accident, my friend got robbed in a similar situation where someone else got pretty badly hurt also.
All this violence really gets to me, now that I understand how these powerless, power hungry kids to adults try to call themselves people by instilling fear in others. I am also learning to appreciate my area, how naiive everyone is here. The way they think, its like guns and violence barely exist. People die in similar situations as mine, and it just aint worth it, especially for drugs. We all really gotta start making an effort to stopping this bullshit. I refuse to let history end in a pool of blood, I want it to end in green, full of life. I wanna thank everyone once more for their inciteful replies, stay safe people and dont forget to share the love.
